Meet Paul Rebec
About Paul Rebec
Paul has more than 20 years’ experience in the design industry and loves turning client’s ideas into something tangible.
How would you describe your style?
I am a design chameleon, able to adapt my style to whatever the needs of the brief are. It means I am as comfortable doing clean corporate work as I am doing off the wall graphics.
Describe yourself in five words.
Creative, confident, collaborative, copacetic and at times, chaotic.
If you could have a beer/coffee with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?
(Out of a very long list), I would say legendary American art director George Lois. I would love to chat with him about the creative process behind the Esquire covers he designed back in the 1960s.
Who are some of your favourite clients you’ve worked with (and why)?
I try not to have favourites as I like to treat each job as its own unique adventure. That said, it was pretty cool doing some illustration work for Double J recently because I am such a fan of the radio station.
What is your go-to cuisine/why?
A nice piece of brisket that has spent eight or so hours in the slow cooker. I like to put it on in the morning and allow the smell of it cooking to filter up to my home office as the day progresses. It lets me know I have a hearty meal waiting for me once I have finished work.
Why do you love design?
I love design because it gives me a chance to turn ideas into something tangible.
